How to Program a Merlin+ C945 Remote to your Garage Motor/Opener

Coding a new remote is a very simply task. The first step is to locate the learn button on the Merlin motor which will either be a purple or orange button. The button is generally on the front of the motor under the light cover for roller door motors or on the back of the motor of motor which are mounted to the ceiling.

1. Press and release the orange or purple LEARN button which is located on the motor (generally found at the back of the motor or under the light cover).

2. Press and hold the button on the new remote you wish to program to the door.

3. The motor light will flash once to indicate the remote has been programmed.

4. Let go of all buttons and test the new remote.
