Even in its standard pin configuration this practice lock is a genuine challenge, and you can set the degree of difficulty yourself at any time via the fastening screws. Re-pinning is easy: loosen the grub screws with the supplied Allen key, replace the springs and pins, and screw everything back in - your next challenge is ready. A 50-piece pinning kit and a pair of tweezers are included, and the cylinder is compatible with Multipick's additional pinning kits including spool and security pins.
The cylinder is slotted on one side only, with the other side left closed to increase difficulty - so you can choose to train visually through the half-open design or entirely by feel. Only very high-quality, precise cylinder locks are used in production. Multipick recommends the Centurion vise for secure holding during practice, and advises checking the grub screws regularly if using an electric pick gun.
