Programming your B&D remote from your has never been easier. Just follow the step-by-step instructions in the video above and you're all set!

Coding Via Motor (Using a Compatible Remote)

Use the following instructions if you are using a B&D compatible remote. 

Step 1: Button Preparation

Begin by pushing and holding the button on the new remote that you want to use to to operate the motor (do not release this button). 

Step 2: Press and Release the Code Set Button

Locate the CODE SET button on your garage door motor. It's essential to know where this button is to complete the programming process. Push and release the CODE SET button.

Step 3: Test the Remote

Stand clear of the door and test the remote. 

Coding Via Motor (Using a Original Remote)

Use the following instructions if you are using your original B&D remote. 

Step 1: Button Preparation

Begin by pushing and holding the button on the new remote that you want to use to to operate the motor (do not release this button). 

Step 2: Press and Release the Code Set Button

Locate the CODE SET button on your garage door motor. It's essential to know where this button is to complete the programming process. Push and release the CODE SET button.

Step 3: Test the Remote

Stand clear of the door and test the remote. 

Erasing Motor Memory 

Alternatively, you may want to erase the programmed motor to erase the connection between all synched remotes.

Step 1: Press and Release the Code Set Button

Press and hold the CODE SET button located on the motor until the light begins to flash (approx. 5-10 seconds). All remotes should now be erased. 

Summary

If the programming is successful, the garage door should respond to the remote's signal by either opening or closing, depending on its current state. If you see this response, congratulations - your B&D remote control is now programmed. 

If the garage door doesn't respond as expected, don't worry; simply repeat the steps to ensure that you've followed the process accurately.
